Upcoming Event at The University of Leeds

We would like to draw your attention to this upcoming event at The University of Leeds:


The next event on the Leeds Humanities Research Institute theme “Home, Community and Belonging” will be at

3.30pm on Wednesday 1 May in LHRI Seminar Room 1.

The LHRI is based at 29-31 Clarendon Place, no. 25 on campus map.


Professor Guy Austin (Department of French, Newcastle University) and Yacine Helali (Veto Films) will be talking about the three films, all documentaries on the theme of “Home”, they were involved in making with young first time filmmakers from the Newcastle area as part of Newcastle University’s 2012 theme of “Social renewal”.  The films are “Homeless”; “The Other Side of the Envelope” and “Breaking the City”.
